In 1955, our founder George Thaler purchased what was at the time a floundering oil business. From one employee and one location, the business has grown to include 150 employees and 16 Express Mart convenience stores. The company’s headquarters are still at the original location at 310 South Main Street in Chippewa Falls, WI. Although George Thaler passed away in 2001, his son Steve and grandkids Peter and Joseph are continuing in his footsteps by managing Thaler Oil today, keeping Thaler Oil a family-owned, locally operated business.
